Foundation stone for Trust laid

Interventional Cardiologist from USA Dr. Govindaraj Subramani laid the foundation stone for Dr. Narayan Setty Memorial Charitable Foundation in the city on Wednesday.

A charitable foundation has been conceived in the name of Dr. Narayan Setty, who has dedicated his life to field of healthcare. The foundation is an initiative of family members of Dr. Narayan Setty, including Dr. S. Bhaskar, Dr. S.N. Rajeshwar and Dr. S.B. Vikram.

Addressing a press conference, Dr. Vikram disclosed that the foundation aims in providing international treatment to its patients, including bypass surgery and angioplasty. He said that the fund collected by the Charitable Trust will be used for the treatment of Coronary Angiogram, Angioplasty and Bypass surgeries.

He said that nearly 40 poor patients visited the free camp during the past four days. Among them, seven were implanted with Pacemaker, each pacemaker which is worth Rs. 1.5 lakh was offered free of cost, he said.
